Olympic Hockey Preview - Canada

The Detroit Sports Project's 2010 Olympic Hockey preview continues today with team Canada. Expectations are high for this team, playing on home ice in Vancouver.  The team is managed by former Red Wing hall of famer Steve Yzerman and coached by the Red Wing's Mike Babcock.  Canada finished in a disappointing 7th place in 2006.

Reactions to the Leaked New MSU Spartans Logo

 

As a Spartan Alumn, I'm very unhappy with this new proposed logo and it appears that the overwhelming response is the same as mine. It looks as though it was drawn by a five year old. This is a slap in the face to tradition and Nike needs to be stopped. Things like this are cool for one time use, like the Nike Pro Combat jerseys worn this season, but no more then that. The Re-Branding that Nike did with Oregon is the laughing stock of NCAA football and hopefully fan and alumni reactions will prevent this from happening to MSU.

Spartan Football Year in Review

Michigan State was picked by many to make a run at a big ten title but fell well short of expectations. The Spartans finished sub .500 at 6-7, putting them sixth in the Big Ten.
